In 2007, Cirrus Logic acquired Apex Microtechnology, and Apex Precision Power was launched as the new brand name for the company’s high-performance power analog product offerings.
These products expand Cirrus Logic’s technology expertise as an industry leader in high-precision analog. Apex Precision Power products focus on the use of power operational amplifiers (linear) and pulse width modulation amplifiers (PWM/switching) in motor and motion control related applications. IC, board-level module and hybrid product designs deliver power output up to 50A while operating on supply voltages up to 1200V.
